You will research the Internet and review the first two lessons in your course book. Many professionals have experienced ―death by PowerPoint. They can tell you what it’s like to sit through a presentation that is boring or too long and will usually tell you that the presenter did not understand how to use slides effectively. But an ineffective presentation can be worse than dull; it can actually prevent your audience from getting your message. Before we begin studying the actual features in the software, take this time to think through some of the important aspects to keep in mind. Review of the first two lessons in your text and research on the Internet can help you start this discussion. Speak from your own experience or capitalize on something new you are learning. Describe at least 2 or 3 relevant things to keep in mind as you set out to develop a presentation.
