Lesson - Additional Tips A slide master is an element of the design template that stores information about the template including font styles, placeholder sizes, and positions, background design, and color schemes. When the slide master attributes change, all of the slides to which the slide master has been applied are updated accordingly. Learners should be familiar with the process of:
•Viewing slide masters
•Formatting slide master text
•Editing slide master design and background Commands related to viewing and editing slide masters are accessible on the Slide Master tab of the Ribbon.Difficult Concept:
View and customize slide masters.A color scheme consists of the eight colors used in the design of a slide master. These include colors for the background, text, lines, shadows, fills, etc. A presentation’s color scheme is determined by the slide master and theme that is applied.
Any changes that are made to the color scheme will automatically be applied to any slide that utilizes the slide master or associated layouts.
With the Customize Colors command, it is possible to view and modify an existing color scheme. The “Customize Colors…” command is accessible via the Background group of the Slide Master tab that appears on the Ribbon when a presentation is in Slide Master view.Difficult Concept:
